IFRA North America 2015 Spring Dinner


On Thursday, May 14, 2015, IFRA North America will hold its annual Spring Dinner.  This is the Association’s largest event of the year and is highlighted by a lengthy networking reception and the presentation of the Eric Bruell Distinguished Service Award over dinner.

Eric Bruell Distinguished Service Award Recipient

Robert Bedoukian, Ph.D
Bedoukian Research, Inc.

Robert Bedoukian, earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in 1970 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue in 1975. He is a recipient of the 2013 Purdue University Distinguished Science Alumni Award.

In 1975, he joined his father, Dr. Paul Bedoukian, who had recently started Bedoukian Research, Inc.,in Danbury, CT.. Dr. Bedoukian became President of Bedoukian Research in 1986, and continues to supervise chemical Research and Development and the development of new flavor & fragrance and insect control ingredients. Under his leadership, Bedoukian Research has enhanced its reputation in the Flavor and Fragrance and Insect Control industries for innovation, superior quality products, excellent customer service, and availability of technical expertise.

Dr. Robert Bedoukian is currently serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committees of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM), the International Fragrance Association of North America (IFRANA), and the IFRANA Product Safety and Regulatory Committee. He is a past chairman of the Board of Directors at RIFM. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of Ability Beyond (supporting over 2,500 people with disabilities), the Western Connecticut Health Network Biomedical Research Advisory Council, and the Purdue University Chemistry Departmental Advisory Committee.

He resides with his wife Gail in Redding, CT. His oldest sons, Matthew and David, work at Bedoukian Research, and his youngest son Philip is a sophomore at Lafayette College.
